Obagöl suits buyers for whom the view is the deciding factor. From the hillside developments the whole bay of Alanya is visible, with the illuminated castle hill in the evenings. The air is cleaner and a few degrees cooler than on the shore — a real advantage in the summer months.
Construction here tends to be newer and more considered: large terraces, generous living rooms, and in many cases villas with a private pool or rooftop apartments. Because the ground slopes, buildings sit above one another, so views are rarely built out.
Prices rise with the quality of the view, but they generally remain friendlier than the seafront front line. A car is advisable day to day, though the amenities of Oba and the centre are only minutes away.
